The families of terminally ill people are also physically and emotionally affected by their loved one's illness. Caring for a loved one who is terminally ill can be physically exhausting and extremely stressful. Terminally ill patients can't care for themselves, so family members must give them constant attention and care. They must spend time with them, bathe and feed them. If the patient can't move, they must lift them. Being constantly depended on allows the family members almost no time for rest or relaxation, necessary ingredients of a healthy life. As a result, many times family members often end up experiencing stress-related illnesses, such as anxiety, tension headaches, and digestive disorders. In addition, watching loved ones suffer as they are slowly consumed by illness causes family members emotional pain. _____________________________________ ____________.
