CLASSES : Years 1 and 2 of the Forensic Science Program at John Jay

In the first two years of the FOS program, you will spend about 15 hours a week in your science classes and labs.

For each science course, you will attend a:

  • Lecture, where the professor presents key concepts and terminology and can give examples of how to solve problems
  • Recitation, where you prepare for lab, review lecture material, and ask the professor questions
  • Lab, where you are introduced to laboratory safety, learn how to use the equipment, and perform experiments
