CLASSES AND ASSIGNMENTS: Years 3 and 4 of the Forensic Science Program at John Jay

The third and fourth years of the program are more challenging academically than the previous two years.
You will:

  • take advanced-level classes that build on material you learned in previous classes
  • apply your knowledge in a “real world” setting by completing an independent research project with a faculty member or an internship outside the college
Classes Internship and Research

The classes in the third and fourth years are the most challenging part of the entire program. You have to be ready to apply everything you learned in previous semesters to the new material in lectures and lab work.

For the Forensic Science Laboratory Internship, you choose an area of interest and work at an agency outside of college.
